Features
Our Webshare review
Webshare has the friendliest on-ramp in the proxy market. Sign up and you get ten datacenter proxies free, permanently, with a gigabyte of monthly traffic. No card, no sales call, no trial clock. For learning how proxies work, or for a hobby script, that is often the entire requirement.
Paid datacenter pricing is extraordinary: roughly $2.99 for a hundred proxies, which works out near three cents per IP per month. Nothing else in this directory approaches that, and for bulk requests against undefended endpoints it is exactly the right tool.
The catch is what datacenter IPs are. They come from hosting ranges that any target site can identify from public ASN data, so anything with a serious anti-bot layer will block them regardless of how many you buy. Webshare also sells static residential and rotating residential to cover that, at competitive but not class-leading quality.
The dashboard is simple and effective: proxy lists to download, username and password or IP authentication, replacement controls and basic usage stats. Support is email only, which fits the price.
Targeting is limited to country and city, and public information about how the residential pool is sourced is thinner than at Oxylabs or IPRoyal.
Use Webshare for cheap bulk traffic and for learning. Pair it with a residential network for the targets that fight back.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Webshare free tier really free?
Yes, ten datacenter proxies with about a gigabyte of traffic a month, indefinitely, with no card required.
Why are datacenter proxies so cheap?
They come from hosting provider ranges that are plentiful and easy to obtain. They are also easy for target sites to identify, which is the trade-off.
Can Webshare handle protected sites?
The datacenter tier generally cannot. Its rotating residential product does better, but for aggressive anti-bot systems Bright Data or Decodo are stronger.
Bottom line
Webshare is where you go when the target is undefended and the budget is small. Ten free proxies to start, and a hundred more for the price of a coffee.
