Features
Our McAfee Secure VPN review
McAfee folded its VPN into the McAfee+ suite, so it is no longer a product you can evaluate or buy separately. If you subscribe to the suite you get unlimited-device VPN access; if you want only a VPN, this is not for sale.
The feature set is the thinnest in this directory: no split tunneling, no port forwarding, no multi-hop, no obfuscation, no ad blocking, and no meaningful streaming support. Torrenting is discouraged by policy.
What it does do is connect automatically on untrusted networks and encrypt the traffic, which is the actual use case for most suite customers. Speeds are adequate for browsing and video.
US jurisdiction, retained connection metadata, no independent audit and no cryptocurrency payment mean this is not a privacy product in any serious sense.
Fine as a bundled convenience. Never the reason to choose the suite, and not a substitute for a real VPN.

No. Streaming platforms detect and block it, and unblocking is not a supported use case.

Not particularly. It is US-based, retains connection metadata, has no audit and offers none of the features privacy-focused users look for.
